Portland love: Vegetables in the front yard.
I remember how my eyes felt when they were first bathed in the luscious greenery of the Pacific Northwest. It was an absolutely quenching sight! Thanks to the soft moss that nuzzles the rough bark of trees year round, in Portland, even winters celebrate life. My adventure in growing vegetables is still just beginning. Much like when dancing Argentine Tango, when you have to learn to trust your partner and lean into him, I am learning to trust the sun, the breeze, the soil, the rain, and lean into the way that things must be. Today I harvested my first onion, radishes, and lettuce of the season. I am quenched and am eager to continue this dance.
